Units and districts continue to encourage leaders and girls with sleepovers, weekends away, fundraising events, unit nights, within and outwith the meeting places, badge work, Go for Its, Rainbow Roundabouts, Pots of Gold Parties and SS16 events.

Community work included packing shoe boxes and back packs, helping the volunteers from Mary’s Meals and Blythswood Care to check and pack boxes and bags before helping to load them up for the containers.

On their second trip to watch the Scottish International Ladies football team at St. Mirren Park, the girls had a ball and really enjoyed watching the ladies win both games...even finding out that the St. Mirren screen can go into double digits!  They stayed back at the end to get signatures from the players.

Guides have gained their confectioner’s badge with help from Fandabbydozy Cakes and visited BBC Glasgow while working on their communication’s badge and had a coffee evening with some ladies who had been in guides when the Queen was crowned.

Cardonald North incorporated special 'leaps' for leap year, including leap of faith - trusting others in things like all sitting on each other’s knees all at once, or trying something new as a group - nature walk, skipping with one rope as a group (hilarious) and making the man in the moon and then eating him.  They resisted the chance to ask anyone to marry on the 29th!   They also went to the X Factor Live tour.

We’ve had Frozen parties, Mad Hatters Tea Parties, Camp Fires, Sausage Sizzles, Indoor and Outdoor weekends, trips to RYZE, PGL, M&D, Pandemonium, Blair Drummond, Edinburgh Zoo, Heads of Ayr, Swimming Pools, Krispy Kreme and Glasgow Climbing Centre and that’s just some of the things Renfrew division have been doing this year.
