Halloween in Greenock 2021

Spooky shenanigans were to be had all across Renfrewshire last week in celebration of Hallowe’en, from pumpkin carving to ghoulish scavenger hunts. We hear more from units in Greenock about their frightfully fun-filled nights and of course get to peek at some terrifying costumes!

First up to share their fun is the 3rd Finnart Rainbows, the 27th Greenock Brownies and the 27th Greenock Guides. The Brownies and Guides celebrated by carving their own pumpkins and the Rainbows celebrated by making pumpkin paper plate lanterns and spider handprints! All the girls had lots of fun! We think that their crafts and carvings look amazing!

The 1st Inverkip Guides have been making Hallowe’en decorations ahead of their Hallowe’en Party next week. The girls designed their own Milk Bottle Lanterns, which they will put glow sticks in, so that their lanterns will shine bright in the dark. They also created their own Hallowe’en characters using toilet roll tubes, beads and other crafting materials! The girls also used Neon Paints to create a banner to decorate the hall for their party. They are all looking forward to dressing up for the party next week!

The 2nd Larkfield Rainbows and 23rd Greenock Brownies joined up to have their Annual Hallowe’en Party this week. The girls dressed up in some great costumes: Anna and Elsa, Spongebob, Tinkerbell, Pumpkins, Bats and lots more! The girls played lots of Hallowe’en games: Witch’s Hat Ring Toss, Ghost Knock Em Down, Pumpkin Bean Bag Toss, Balloon Catch and Roll a Frankenstein! They enjoyed some goodies and then got in groups to see who could wrap the best Mummy. The girls all had a fantastic time!

Some amazing ideas to remember for next year!
