Adults and Volunteers
Our volunteers amaze!
Our volunteers do amazing things – some of which might surprise you. You could find yourself white water rafting, training guiding Leaders overseas, celebrating LGBT inclusion in a local Pride parade or singing along with 10,000 girls at Wembley Arena.
Volunteering with us isn’t just about campfires and helping girls to get their next badge – although those are special moments that we all share. It’s about empowering girls and giving them new experiences. It’s being a role model and helping girls to realise their full potential. It’s sharing and developing your skills.
In Renfrewshire adult members have travelled internationally, organised events, and help over 1,700 girls each year reach their fullest potential.

Volunteers in Renfrewshire...
Over the past couple of months, volunteers across Renfrewshire have been hard at work at South Newton making it ready for the new season.
Before planning for the future, we must thank the volunteers, that made up the last leadership team, for their outstanding contribution and commitment to the Division over the last 5 years.
Out-going Division Commissioner, Norma Ramsay, made surprise “Doorstep Visits” to two former 20th A Greenock Brownies to present their “Adult Leadership Qualification” certificates.
Anyone with time to give can volunteer.
So much! You can become a unit helper, an occassional unit helper, a unit leader, an assistant leader, to name just a few. You can also volunteer to be a secretary, photographer, member of PR/MARCOM, or become a coordinator.
